MATCH REPORT
Two cup games, F.A Cup, F.A. Trophy, so far this season for Coleshill, Two Defeats and No goals. What would happen at the third attempt? The opposition were Chasetown, the current holders of the Walsall Senior Cup, and as Coleshill won this cup the season before, the two sides were intent on winning the trophy again, and as such it was a tight affair.

Chasetown started strongly with some good runs by Matt Hearsey and Drew Turner. Coleshill hit back and blocks by Morrison and a save by home keeper Pond kept the score at 0-0. Chasetown hit the side netting and Coleshill keeper Cameron Belford made a routine save but at the halfway point it was still 0-0.

Chasetown took the lead early in the second half with a low pile driver of a shot from Hearsey that went past keeper Belford. Hearsey missed an opportunity to increase the home teams advantage but he poked the ball wide. On 65 minutes, Callum Coyle, who had replaced regular goal scorer Charlie Manners, brought Coleshill back into the game with the equaliser. Both sides huffed and puffed but the game ended at 1-1 and so to penalties.

Will Marshall had the first penalty saved but successful kicks by Daniel Gyasi, Callum Griffin, Callum Coyle, and Cameron Belford, plus a save by Belford had the count at 4-4. Bassit Mandey had the sixth penalty saved and Chasetown scored to take the tie and progress to the next round.
