SPORTS ARGUS WROTE
Coleshill began brightly and almost took the lead in the 8th minute when a free kick from Bennett was misjudged by keeper Harrison and Lambeth cleared off the line. Two minutes later Cooke made ground down the left and, though his cross was parried by Harrison, the ball ran free for Lee to shoot wide from the edge of the area. Coleshill continued on the defensive and, in the 20th minute, Cooke passed to Brady who cleverly beat two defenders before Harrison made a plucky save at the second attempt. Streetly retaliated in the 38th minute with Horton firing in a superb 25 yard effort just over the bar and a minute later a corner from Clarke was headed inches over the top by Lambeth.

SUNDAY MERCURY WROTE
Jubilant Streetly Celtic gained revenge for there defeat at Coleshill a week ago. Two second half goals from Micky George and Ian Stewart gave them a deserved first home win of the season at their Hampton Road ground. Streetly took the lead in the 61st minute when George shot home a fine drive from 20 yards. Five minutes later Stewart took advantage of hesitancy in the Coleshill defence to net from close range. Coleshill almost reduced the deficit in the 68th minute when Dave Moore shot inches wide of the post but with ten minutes remaining Streetly nearly added a third when Horton headed against the Coleshill bar following a right wing corner.
