Coleshill Find It Tough Going

After giving a promising display at Paget Rangers the previous week Coleshill succumbed easily to Boldmere and dropped another two vital home points. In an explosive opening both Moseley and Page had to receive treatment following hard tackles and Boldmere’s aggression swept them in front through Sanders at the time Page was off the field getting attention. Coleshill had to defend desperately for the next 15 minutes, clearing two goal bound shots off the line. A good corner from Allen in the 25th minute should have brought the equaliser, but Holland headed wide. Back at the other end Coleshill’s keeper Witts was forced to save well from Saunders as Boldmere returned to maintain the offensive up to half time. Coleshill began the second half showing more urgency and Hevingham hit a dipping shot just over the crossbar and Boldmere’s Rotheroe had to deal with an in swinging corner from Allen. Prentice joined Coleshill’s attack in the 65th minute, but the homestead fell further behind nine minutes later when Feeley netted with a good long range shot. This Saturday, Coleshill face another tough match at Bridgnorth.
