WE MEET AGAIN - PERSHORE TOWN

Coleshill will travel to Pershore Town in the Preliminary Round of the F.A. Cup after they beat Nuneaton Town and Pershore beat Darleston in the Extra Preliminary Round.

Coleshill have never played Pershore before in the F.A. Cup, or any cup for that matter, but they have played each other in the Midland Combination Premier Division.

The two sides met for the first time in the 1991-92 season, Coleshill had been in the Mid Com top division for some time but Pershore were newly promoted. That season Pershore definately came out on top with 5-1 and 5-0 wins over the two games. The two sides played each other for Four seasons but in 1994 Pershore were promoted to the Midland Football Alliance, founder members. In 2000 Coleshill were relegated to the Mid Com Division 1, meaning Pershore were two leagues above Coleshill but the two sides met again in the Mid Com Prem the next season as Coleshill were promoted and Pershore were relegated from the MFA. The 2007-08 season saw Coleshill promoted to the MFA after finishing TOP of the Mid Com Prem on goal difference, just pipping Highgate to the title. And so, the last time the two sides met was on the 19th April 2008 at Pack Meadow, a 2-1 win for the Colemen with goals from Neil Kitching and Danny Carter.

Coleshill play in the Northern Premier League, Midland Division, Step 4 and Pershore play in the Hellenic Premier League, Step 5.
