NON LEAGUE PAPER WROTE
Rowe Mauls Visiting Lions

Coleshill Town booked their place in the hat with a narrow victory over Sporting Khalsa. Theo Rowe scrambled the ball past R'avan Constable to take the lead for the hosts just five minutes in, after Khalsa failed to clear a ball into the area. Gurjit Singh came close to levelling twice for the visitors in the first half, but it remained 1-0 to the Colemen at the break. Ian Rowe and his Sporting Khalsa players thought they'd drawn level 16 minutes into the new half, as Prince Henry nodded past veteran goalkeeper Cameron Belford - but their joy was short-lived as the linesman raised his flag for an offside in the build up. Khalsa fought desperately for a way back into the game, but Harry Harris' men - who are struggling in the Northern Premier League Midland Division - stood firm to progress.

MATCH REPORT
The Non League Paper doesn't describe this game the way most Coleshill Town supporters saw it. It was a controlled performance and a well deserved victory. The most important part of the game came early as a long cross-field ball on five minutes from captain Taylor Carter-Byrne found Daniel Gyasi unmarked out on the right. His cross into the danger area was JUST in front of Alex McSkeane but did find Theo Rowe at the far post to direct the ball into the net. Coleshill had three or four really good chances to increase the lead but went into the break just the one goal up. Sporting upped the tempo in the second half as they went in search of an equaliser but they came up against a solid wall of defence. Khalsa did have the ball in the net from Henry but it was well offside and really that was the closest threat that came from the visitors. Coleshill are doing really well in the F.A. cup competitions but need to carry that on in League games and have a quick turn-over chance to do that against Loughborough Students on Monday at Pack Meadow, 7.45 kick off.
